Job Summary

    Health Technical Lead  will be overall responsible for the successful implementation and monitoring of program projects. Health Technical Leader  would also be responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of the program and its related MEAL activities, manage the program team, ensure proper integration and achievement of the projects in line with organization strategies, and oversee the planning and achievement of business development activities related to the program.

    Health Technical Leader  is responsible for representing WATAN in coordination and relevant program meetings with donors and coordination bodies.

Position Requirements

    • Minimum Education Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Medicine or any other related major
    • 3 years at least in project management in the civil society organizations
    • Good remote management skills
    • knowledge of International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, Refugee Law
    • High communication skills and presentation.

Responsibility

    Health Technical Leader in an NGO, your responsibilities may include:

    Providing technical leadership: You will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to the organization's health programs, ensuring that they are aligned with best practices, standards, and guidelines.

    Developing and implementing health strategies: You will be responsible for developing and implementing health strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals. This may involve conducting needs assessments, identifying priority areas, and developing plans to address these needs.

    Monitoring and evaluation: You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the organization's health programs, including developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, conducting regular assessments, and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.

    Capacity building: You will be responsible for building the capacity of program staff and partners to design and implement effective health interventions. This may involve conducting trainings, workshops, and providing technical assistance.

    Networking and partnerships: You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, donors, and other NGOs. This may involve representing the organization in meetings and conferences, and identifying opportunities for collaboration and partnership.

    Ensuring compliance with standards and regulations: You will be responsible for ensuring that the organization's health programs comply with relevant standards and regulations, including those related to health service delivery, clinical management, and disease control.

    Supporting emergency response efforts: In the event of a disaster or emergency, you may be called upon to provide technical support and expertise to the organization's emergency response efforts, including the provision of health services.

    Overall, as a Health Technical Leader, your goal is to ensure that the organization's health programs are effective, efficient, and sustainable, and that they are making a positive impact on the communities they serve. You will work closely with other technical leaders within the organization to ensure that health interventions are integrated with other sectors, such as water, sanitation, and nutrition, to maximize their impact
