    WATAN is seeking volunteer/s to assist Worldwide Programmes

    Volunteers will have the chance to work with project managers, program managers, and programs director.


    Due to the emergency response to the disastrous earthquake that hit Turkey & Syria on 6 Feb 2023. Volunteers might be working online for the time being. In the upcoming weeks or months.
     

Position Requirements

    • Passion and interest in civil society, humanitarian operations, and development projects
    • Good knowledge of English, Arabic and other UN languages would be assesst.
    • Allocating 2 - 4 hours per day.

Responsibility

    3 volunteers:

    • Knowledge of online search methods and experience working on screening new donors and opportunities in America, Germany (Europe), Canada, Britain, Qatar

    • Registering the institution in various international platforms and ensuring the effectiveness of registration on a regular basis

    • A periodic search for all international and regional meetings, events and conferences, and ensuring that the team attends them with reports on each visit

    • Sharing opportunities with sector managers, relationship managers and relevant departments, and ensuring that Go/No Go meetings are held and opportunity recognition

    3 volunteers:

    • Have experience in Email Etiquette

    • Experience in writing content and ensuring the quality of all media materials that will be shared with donors (profiles of the institution and sectors).

    • Experience in marketing for the organization and emailing donors

    • Experience in English and Turkish writing and conversation

     

    4 volunteers:

    • General administrative experience (secretariat) with the need for good knowledge of working on MS Office (especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook)

    • Arranging periodic management meetings, writing minutes, and following up until closing tasks

    • Adding and updating the institution's projects bank

    • Ensure updated contact information for all existing donors and add them to mailing lists

    • Follow-up with sector managers to ensure periodic communication with the clusters and working groups and share reports

    • Ensure that the entire opportunity cycle is closed, starting with access to a new opportunity and the GO/NO GO meeting until signing the application for the opportunity to the donor in accordance with the institution's policies

    • Follow-up to close all follow-up approvals for signed contracts within 38 hours from the date of receiving the contract

    • Ensure quality closing plans for each opportunity

    • Experience working on Donor relations CRM

    • Complete OCA closures required of establishments based on the closing date
